Oh yes, still loving my hawk. I'm getting bettter at doing more with it. I cut more off the top.
I'm also trying a new washing routine that seems to make my curls look healthier. I wash my hair every other day (I have an oily scalp)I've been wetting my hair in the shower than put lots of conditioner in and only washing (gently) my roots and shaved parts and then gently raking the shampoo through the rest of my hair (a little). Then I apply more conditioner. I've been squeezing (gently) the water out of my hair with the towel. No more rough towel drying. I am dying to shave the sides down again but my scalp has been breaking out for weeks and I have to wait until it calms down : (
@queenbuv3- O wow i see that u really love the mohawak!! ;-p and thats fine! i'm ready for more length so i can style more and work with my hair ...so im def ready for that..but im glad to see that you have a routine going for u seems like its working well and im sure your scalp will calm down soon!! ;-p
Girl ur curls are poppin and they look great! How long did u ladies transition before doing the BC? I've been transitioning for 5 months now and my goal is to do so for one year, but I almost can't wait to BC. Thanx for the lovely blog. Danyelle :-)
@danyelle c.- aww thank u hunn!! we transitioned for about 9 months b4 we did the BC!! its amazing and im glad we did it our hair is growing like crazy!! what do u use while transitioning??
I'm currently using HE HH (most of the time I leave it in cuz I haven't found a leave-in yet). When I can afford it, I use Aubrey Organics White Camellia Ultra-Smoothing Conditioner to detangle. I would recommend this to any lovely during her transition. It's advertised as being for dry, coarse and unruly hair and it truly does take less than 15 min to detangle my hair. About twice a month I shampoo with Giovanni 50:50 Hydrating Clarifying poo. Whenever I twist my hair I use a homemade butter. And I use Africa's Best Ultimate Oil to....oil, lol. I'm working on developing a regimen. Peace, Danyelle C.
@danyelle c- oh ok looks like u have ur products down!! ;-p how do u like using giovanni shampoo keep seeing it around...and hmmm your own regimen huh thats wonderful im sure it will come out nice!! may have to try it when u finally get it done!! ;-p
Just returning the love... Im just starting my journey back to natural.. Here goes the transitioning lol - Follow my progress... http://just-rhirhi.blogspot.com/
